The workshop brought together a<br \/>\ndiverse range of stakeholders, including representatives from the Ministry of Health, ALERT (All<br \/>\nAfrica Leprosy Elimination and Rehabilitation Center), ENAPAL, community and religious leaders,<br \/>\ncivil society organizations, actors from the leprosy field, and experts in Neglected Tropical Diseases<br \/>\n(NTDs).<br \/>\nThe primary objective of the workshop was to ensure that the roadmap devised for leprosy control<br \/>\nand elimination is practical and capable of addressing the unique challenges faced by the country.<br \/>\nBy involving key stakeholders from various sectors, the workshop aimed to gather insights,<br \/>\nexpertise, and diverse perspectives to enhance the roadmap&amp;#39;s applicability and effectiveness.<br \/>\nThe Leprosy Mission International Ethiopia (TLMI-E) along with MOH played a crucial role in<br \/>\ncoordinating the workshop and providing a platform for stakeholders to share their experiences,<br \/>\nknowledge, and best practices. The participation of ALERT, a prominent organization dedicated to<br \/>\nleprosy elimination and rehabilitation, further enriched the workshop by bringing in valuable insights<br \/>\nfrom their fieldwork and research.<br \/>\nThe involvement of community and religious leaders, civil society organizations, and actors from the<br \/>\nleprosy field ensured that the roadmap development process incorporated the perspectives and<br \/>\nneeds of those directly affected by leprosy. Their contributions helped shape a comprehensive and<br \/>\ninclusive roadmap that takes into account the social, cultural, and economic aspects of leprosy<br \/>\ncontrol and elimination.<br \/>\nAdditionally, the participation of experts in NTDs added a broader context to the workshop<br \/>\ndiscussions. By drawing on their knowledge and experiences in combating various neglected tropical<br \/>\ndiseases, these experts provided valuable insights and recommendations to strengthen the<br \/>\nroadmap&amp;#39;s effectiveness.<br \/>\nOverall, the National Zero Leprosy Roadmap developments workshop served as a collaborative<br \/>\nplatform for stakeholders to come together, share their expertise, and contribute towards the<br \/>\ndevelopment of a comprehensive roadmap for leprosy control and elimination.
